Hi there! Shamsa here, and I have news I've been so excited to share our Kids Skincare Science Camp is officially back by popular demand! Last summer every single date sold out, and the messages asking "are you running it again?" haven't stopped since.
This year we've levelled up the curriculum and I genuinely cannot wait. We're introducing pigments! A brand new formulation I'm so excited to teach so campers will be creating their very own custom lip gloss and charm to take home. Alongside that, they'll be making classic emulsions (think simple, beautiful body lotion from scratch), we will be cleansing, creating custom face masks, and a nourishing facial oil.
We're also weaving in facial massage techniques to help them wind down, connect with their skin, and truly relax. It's self-care and science all wrapped into one incredible day!

From 9 AM to 2 PM, your child won't just be sitting and listening : they'll be mixing, measuring, massaging, and making.

Cosmetic Science Lab
- Understanding emulsions — how to make body lotion from scratch
- Nourishing facial oil blending with carrier oils
- Formula math — converting percentages like real chemists
- Introduction to pigments & colour cosmetics
- Final project: Custom lip gloss + charm making 💄

Shamsa is the founder of Afiya Beauty and a certified cosmetic formulator with a passion for making science accessible and exciting for the next generation. She creates evidence-based, botanically driven formulations and she brings that same expertise and enthusiasm into every camp session.
Her approach blends real cosmetic chemistry with holistic wellness, empowering kids not just to make great products, but to understand their skin, love their unique complexion, and feel confident in their own self-care.
