The Canadian beauty industry imports most of what it uses. We think that needs to change.

Nearly three quarters of the cosmetic ingredients used by Canadian beauty brands are sourced from outside the country. Most arrive with limited transparency about their origin, how they were produced or what is actually in them. For an industry that makes claims about clean, natural and sustainable — that gap matters.
We started asking what it would take to close it.
Where we began.
The pandemic made the fragility of global ingredient supply chains impossible to ignore. When we could no longer ship in what we needed, we turned to what was already here. Canadian farms. Local producers & juicers.
What we are working on.
We are researching and developing Canadian cosmetic ingredients using agricultural byproducts from local farmers, juicers and producers. Through ongoing collaborations with research institutions we are exploring how these materials can be transformed into clean, effective cosmetic actives — ingredients that perform on skin and can be traced back to exactly where they came from.
Where we are going.
Our goal is a range of Canadian manufactured cosmetic ingredients that are clean, fully traceable and sustainable — available eventually to the broader Canadian beauty industry. Ingredients that tell you exactly where they came from and how they were made.
